This Friday 11th December is Christmas Jumper Day!
Raise money for a great cause
Christmas Jumper Day started off as a way of raising money for Save the Children. The idea is to wear a silly christmas jumper and donate £2 to the charity (£1 if you are at school), and help make the world a better place for children. Christmas is the season for giving, so get your free fundraising pack and let’s raise some money for a great cause!
Get everyone (virtually) involved!
We might not be able to all get together to show off our Christmas jumpers this year, but that doesn’t mean you can get away without wearing one! Organise a group video call with your loved ones or your colleagues and have a good laugh at each other’s crazy jumpers. You can even get your pets involved!
Maybe you’ve never worn a Christmas jumper before or you just don’t have anything festive in your wardrobe – this is the perfect opportunity to get the Christmas decorations out and get creative! Grab an old jumper and start attaching baubles, glitter, a cotton wool snowman and even some fairy lights if you’re feeling daring! Everyone will be impressed with your handiwork.
Competition for the best (or worst!) Christmas jumper!
Whether you like the most stylish sweaters on sale, or the most garish garments ever made, you can still make a competition out of it! You can compete with your friends and family over who can find the best (or worst) Christmas jumper and vote on who you think is the winner. You can even add categories to make it more fun like ‘best couple’s jumpers’, ‘most tasteful’ or ‘most wacky’.
When our markets are taking part!
See how schools, workplaces and families are supporting the cause by using the hashtag #christmasjumperday on social media. We’d love to see them too, make sure you tag us on Instagram if you’re getting involved. If you’re coming along to one of our markets, speak to centre staff about how you can donate!
