Family fun day ‘Pirates of Workington’

DESCRIPTION

Following an eventful summer at Workington Market, Groupe Geraud launched a family fun day ‘Pirates of Workington’ on Wednesday 16th August. Working with Allerdale Borough Council, Groupe Geraud organised the summer holiday event following a successful few months including an International Street Market.

Pow Street was transformed along with Workington Market, with music, fair rides and free face painting. Children were invited to come along and meet Captain Jack Sparrow and grownups could feel nostalgic, with appearances from celebrity lookalike Del Boy.

A pirate and princess fancy dress competition 1pm judged by Captain Jack Sparrow, plus treasure hunt prizes meant it was a great day for everyone who attended.

Philip Lamb Managing Director of Geraud UK said: “Pirates of Workington was a fun-filled day for all the family. We enjoyed working with Allerdale Borough Council to provide such a great event in the summer holidays.”

I would like to thank you for the the market here in Katrineholm. We were very happy and satisfied with the result and all residents have appreciated this enormously. What fantastic weather we had and incredible food eaten.  Hope to see you again next year – we would love to welcome you back!
